How to choose my favorite football (soccer) team?

Okay, so I am striving to become a football (soccer) affectionado like some people in my family. I am a half Mexican half Hungarian girl who lives in the US. So, I am not sure what team to go for. All the people in my family go for different teams and I do not see them very often since they are my cousins and aunt and uncle and grandparents who live in Mexico and Hungary so I have to decide by myself. Please dont post your favorite team and say: '(insert team name here) FTW!!!' or something like that. Help?? Thanks :D
